Maps:
Maps are nice to watch on iPhone, thanks to its large display. It is useful to hover on places, which you are planning to visit. Like when I was off for Hong Kong, people told me that there are many tourist spots near ‘Chung king’s mansion’ but none knew the address properly. I just searched for ‘Chung king palace, Hong Kong’ to try my luck and the results were satisfactory. It helped me to get every essential detail that I wished for. Unfortunately, again there are some problems with interface. Unlike the GMaps on other phones, it shows the addresses only in street view. When switched to satellite view it gives no clue about the places. GPS is missing so getting directions is not possible (GPS works in India, I’ve tested it on Nokia N95. it locks on 3-4 satellites easily).
Panning the maps on ‘touch screen’ is fine but the zooming out of the map is very annoying.
