SMS :
SMS application in this phone is pretty unusual but pleasant to watch. Unlike the common Inbox, Outbox thing, iPhone shows text messages in the form of conversations. It looks more like the recorded conversation of a chatting session on Yahoo Messenger. It is good for reading old messages because you don’t have to switch between inbox and sent messages folder to know what you were talking about. On the flipside there is no option to send a text to more than one recipient. No way to forward a message to other numbers so it would be fun to write a message again for each recipient. ‘Fanboys’ claim that typing on virtual keyboard is a cakewalk because of the large sized letters. But idiots forget about the fact that it covers all the message blocks so that you can’t even see what you are typing? I don’t enjoy typing like a blind dolt! The ‘mighty’ multi-touch screen fails to react if you type with two thumbs (like most of the people do). It doesn't even sense the finger nails. When I type anything on my Nokia N82, I don’t have to look at its screen like a chimp. Like every other phone, N82 gives tactile response so that I know what I’m writing. You might be familiar with the ‘Predictive Text’ feature in ordinary phones which completes the word for you. Incase if the suggested word is not the one you want then you can press *key (for Nokia) to get more words with same key combinations. But, people at Apple have always got the brighter ideas. So if this ‘holy’ phone predicts a word for you, there is no way you can deny it. Unless you cancel that word – turn off the predictive text and try again. Now how would a love-rotten guy, flood the inboxes of females with crap (romantic) vernacular messages?
Put that aside you can't even backup messages on SIM memory or even on PC (Not sure whether it works with a Mac). Sending a message takes ages (The reason behind it might be the fact that it can’t complete the message sending process in the background). Moreover, iPhone doesn’t let you clear all the messages at once as well (you can delete only one conversation at a time).
If someone sends you an MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), you would just get a plain SMS containing a web link to check the MMS content. You could never click that link. The users are supposed to write down the entire link with pen on paper (Or just remember it, but these are Mac users! So lets get back to the pen and paper) and then type that in iPhone’s Safari browser. How easy! Ultra friendly user interface is what Apple is known for after all! Well now you know that you can’t receive an MMS so obviously the 'do-all Jesus phone can’t send it either. Now fans would be itching to e-mail me “DUDE WHO WANNA USE MMS ANYWAY?!!!” But morons if you don’t care about MMS then why are you buying a phone? Get an MP3 player instead.
