Debranding
Debranding:
If you have a branded phone and would like to to debrand it then follow these steps.
Download and install JAF v1.98.62
You will be prompted to install drivers version 7.0.2.0 -- click NO.
Download JAF PKEY Emulator v5
(some AV show this as virus so turn off AV before clicking this link)

Connect your phone and select PC Suite.
Now run JAF PKEY Emulator v4.0 and click on the 'STEP2 (select EXE and GO)' tab.
Then click 'GO (launch selected EXE)' It will come up with error: 'BOX DRIVER NOT INSTALLED'
Click ok and now JAF v1.98 will run.
Select BB5 tab.
Check box next to Prod. Manager.
Click the SERVICE button.
Click the Read Values button.
Now replace existing Product Code with your preferred code.
Click Write Values.

Now you can proceed to Nokia Software Update process to upgrade to latest 'Generic Firmware'
You might need to uninstall JAF, repair Pc Suite and reboot pc before updating firmware.
